Postika vs Planable
Both tools care about approvals, but for different reviewers. Planable is built for clients and colleagues commenting on content. Postika is built so that posts created by your AI wait for a human OK.
Planable is the better fit when the bottleneck is client and stakeholder review: multi-level approvals, comments and collaboration. Postika is the better fit when the bottleneck is producing posts, and you want an AI agent to draft them into a calendar where you approve before anything goes live.

Choose Postika if
- The reviewer is you, approving what your AI drafted
- You want posts that break a network's limits blocked before they are scheduled
- You want MCP and API on the entry plan
- You run many brands and want them as separate projects on one plan
Choose Planable if
- Clients need to review, comment and approve posts themselves
- You need multi-level approval chains
- You want a free plan to try with a client
- You want analytics and inbox add-ons in the same tool
Two meanings of approval
Planable is built around collaboration: clients and colleagues see posts the way they will look, leave comments and approve at one or several levels. For agencies whose main pain is getting sign-off, that is exactly the right tool. Postika has no client approval links or comment threads.
Postika's approval is about AI agents. Every post can be in draft, pending approval, scheduled or published. When Claude or ChatGPT creates a post through Postika's MCP server, the server asks it to use approval, so the post appears as pending in your calendar and publishes only after you approve it in the app. See approval workflow for the general concept.
Pricing structure
Planable prices per workspace with unlimited users, which is generous for teams. Postika prices by connected channels with unlimited projects: €29 (5 channels), €39 (10), €49 (30) and €99 (100) per month, 20% less yearly. Planable has a free plan with a capped number of posts; Postika has a 7-day trial. Pick based on whether your growth is in channels and brands (Postika) or in reviewers (Planable). An AI-first agency workflow in Postika
Here is how a small agency can run the week in Postika without a client portal:
- Create one project per client, with its channels and time zone.
- Ask your AI: "Using this brief, prepare five LinkedIn posts and five Threads posts for the Dental project next week, in approval mode."
- Review the pending posts in the calendar, check the preview per network and approve.
- For Instagram or TikTok, add the photo or video in the app before approving, since media cannot be sent through MCP.
If the client still wants to see the plan, share the content another way, such as a document or a screenshot of the calendar. Our guide to approval workflows for agencies covers options.
Networks and API
Both tools publish to the major networks: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads and Pinterest. Postika's REST API and MCP connection are on every plan; Planable places its public API on higher tiers. If you plan to connect n8n or build your own tools, see the API docs.
Limits Postika checks for you
Planable shows a pixel-perfect preview for reviewers. Postika's preview is also per network, and on top of that it blocks posts that would fail on publishing. Some of the limits it enforces:
| Network | Characters | Images | Media required |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2,200 | 10 | Yes | |
| 3,000 | 9 | No | |
| X | 280 | 4 | No |
| Threads | 500 | 10 | No |
| 500 | 1 | Yes |
You can check any text against these with the free character counter before handing it to a client.
Frequently asked questions
Can clients approve posts in Postika?
Not through a client link. Postika's pending-approval state is meant for you or your team approving posts in the app. Planable is better if clients need to review and comment directly.
Does Planable have an MCP server?
Yes, Planable offers an MCP server. Postika also has one, with an approval-first default for posts created by the AI.
Which networks does Postika publish to?
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads and Pinterest, all on every plan, each with its own limit check.
Is there a free plan?
Planable has a free plan with a limited number of posts. Postika does not have a free plan but offers a 7-day free trial.
How do I show a client the plan if Postika has no client links?
Many agencies export the planned copy to a shared document or send a screenshot of the calendar, collect feedback, then approve the posts in Postika. If client sign-off is the core of your process, Planable is the better tool.
