Postika vs Publer

Postika vs Publer

Publer is a budget-friendly scheduler with lots of networks and a free plan. Postika is narrower but puts the AI connection and API on every plan. The comparison is mostly about where those features sit in each price list.

The short answer

Publer is a strong pick for a single person on a budget who wants a free plan and extras like WordPress or Telegram. Postika fits if you want AI and API access from the entry plan, many brand projects and approval-first AI posting, priced by channel tiers in euros.

Choose Postika if

  • You want MCP and API on the cheapest plan, not only the top tiers
  • You run many brands and want unlimited projects
  • You want posts from AI agents to wait for approval
  • You prefer a few clear tiers over per-account and per-member math

Choose Publer if

  • You want a free plan
  • You need Google Business Profile, WordPress, Telegram or Mastodon
  • You want built-in AI writing and analytics
  • You only have one or two accounts and want the lowest possible bill

Where the features live in each price list

Publer's pricing scales per social account and per team member, and according to its plans article, AI, analytics, API, MCP and approvals sit on the Business plan and above. That is a reasonable structure if you are a single creator who only needs scheduling.

Postika puts everything it has on every plan. Standard (€29/month, 5 channels) already includes the MCP connection, API keys, unlimited posts and unlimited projects. Moving up to Team, Pro or Ultimate only raises the channel limit (10, 30, 100). That makes Postika easy to budget for developers and automation-heavy teams who want the API from day one.

AI workflows

Both tools offer MCP. In Postika you add https://postika.app/api/mcp as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, sign in and click Allow. From then on the assistant can see your projects, channels and calendar.

The difference is the default: Postika asks the AI to use approval mode, so new posts land as pending in your calendar. You can still say "schedule it" or "publish now" explicitly. Postika does not write copy itself; it relies on the AI you connect, which keeps the product simple and the bill flat.

For automations without chat, Postika's REST API works with n8n, Make and Zapier using a per-project key.

Networks and limits

Publer supports more destinations, including Google Business Profile, WordPress, Telegram and Mastodon. Postika supports eight: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads and Pinterest.

Postika checks each network's rules before scheduling, so you find out at planning time, not at publishing time, if something is off. A few examples: Pinterest allows 500 characters and one image in Postika, TikTok needs media and allows up to 35 images, LinkedIn allows 3,000 characters and 9 images. The full list is on our social media limits page.

Who should switch

If you are happy on Publer's free plan, stay there. Switching makes sense when you have several brands to separate, want an AI agent and the API without jumping to a higher plan, or want an EU vendor billing in euros. Start with the 7-day trial, connect one brand, and let your assistant rebuild next week's posts in approval mode to see if the workflow fits. See also Publer alternatives.

A concrete automation example

Say you run an online shop and want a post every time you publish a new blog article. With Postika's API you can build this in n8n or Zapier:

  1. Trigger on the new article in your CMS or RSS feed.
  2. Send the title and link to your AI step to write a LinkedIn and an X version.
  3. Call Postika's API with the project key to create both posts as pending approval for the next morning.
  4. Approve in the app with one click.

Because the API and keys are on every Postika plan, this works on Standard. See Postika for e-commerce for more ideas.

Frequently asked questions

Does Publer have a free plan?

Yes, Publer offers a free plan with a small number of accounts and scheduled posts. Postika has no free plan; it offers a 7-day free trial on any tier.

Is the Postika API included on the cheapest plan?

Yes. Every Postika plan, including Standard at €29 a month, includes API keys and the MCP connection.

Can Postika post to Google Business Profile?

No. Postika supports Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads and Pinterest only.

Does Postika write captions with AI?

Not by itself. Postika has no built-in AI model. You connect the assistant you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and it writes and creates the posts through MCP.

How do Postika's tiers compare with per-account pricing?

Postika charges a flat price for a range of channels: up to 5, 10, 30 or 100. Per-account pricing is cheaper for one or two accounts; tiers become simpler once you manage many brands, because projects and posts are unlimited on every plan.
