Postika vs Metricool

Postika vs Metricool

Metricool and Postika are both built in Spain and both connect to AI through MCP. Metricool is an analytics-heavy marketing suite; Postika is a focused publishing calendar. The choice depends on whether you need the numbers in the same place.

The short answer

Metricool is the better pick if analytics, competitor tracking and ads reports are part of the job, or if you need a free plan. Postika fits if you want a simpler scheduler priced by channels, with many brand projects and an AI that leaves posts for approval.

Choose Postika if

  • You only need planning and publishing, not reports
  • You think in channels rather than brands when budgeting
  • You want X and LinkedIn included on every plan without add-ons
  • You want AI-created posts pending your approval by default

Choose Metricool if

  • You need analytics, competitor benchmarks and ads reporting
  • You want a free plan for one brand
  • You post to Google Business Profile or Twitch
  • You want an inbox and approvals inside a broader suite

Suite versus calendar

Metricool started as an analytics tool and grew into a full marketing suite: scheduling, analytics, competitor tracking, ads reporting, an inbox and approvals. If you send monthly reports to clients, that breadth is a real advantage, and Postika does not offer analytics at all.

Postika is just the publishing layer: a weekly and monthly content calendar, drafts, a pending-approval state and publishing to eight networks with a per-network preview. Fewer screens, fewer settings, nothing to report.

Brands versus channels

Metricool prices by number of brands. Postika prices by number of connected channels: 5, 10, 30 or 100 for €29, €39, €49 or €99 a month, 20% less yearly, and projects (brands) are unlimited on every tier.

Which model is cheaper depends on your shape. Many brands with one or two networks each can favor Postika; a few brands with every network connected can favor brand-based pricing. On Metricool, X requires a paid add-on according to its pricing page; on Postika every network, including X, Threads and Pinterest, is included. See our pricing and Postika for agencies.

Both speak MCP

Metricool offers an MCP server, even on its free plan, so you can ask Claude about your analytics. Postika's MCP server is about the calendar: list projects and channels, read posts for a date range, create a post and delete one.

A typical Postika prompt looks like: "For the Gym project, look at what's already scheduled this month and fill the gaps on LinkedIn and Threads with posts that wait for my approval." The AI checks the calendar with list_posts, then calls create_post in approval mode. You review in the app. Learn more about the approach in manage social media with AI.

Using them together

Some teams keep an analytics tool and use Postika only to publish. That works fine: Postika publishes natively to each network, so the posts show up in any analytics tool connected to the same accounts. If you go that way, add UTM parameters to your links (our free UTM builder helps) so web traffic is attributed correctly.

Which one to try first

Ask yourself one question: do you open your current tool to post or to look at numbers? If it is mostly numbers, Metricool is the better home, and its free plan lets you start without paying.

If you open it mostly to post, and you are increasingly asking Claude or ChatGPT to write those posts anyway, Postika removes a step. The AI reads your calendar, drafts posts into the right project and channel, and leaves them for approval. Every network's limits are checked before scheduling, so a 290-character post for X or a Pinterest pin without an image is caught at planning time. Start with one brand on the 7-day trial and compare how long a week of planning takes in each tool.

If you manage clients in several countries, remember that each Postika project keeps its own time zone, so 9:00 means 9:00 local time for that client.

Frequently asked questions

Does Postika have analytics like Metricool?

No. Postika does not show reach, engagement or follower data. If you need reports, keep Metricool or another analytics tool, or use each network's native insights.

Is Metricool free?

Metricool has a free plan with limits on brands, scheduled posts and history; check its pricing page for the current terms. Postika has no free plan but offers a 7-day free trial.

Are both companies Spanish?

Yes. Metricool is based in Madrid and Postika is built by Miranda Network SL, also in Spain. Both are EU companies.

Can Postika publish to X without extra cost?

Yes. All eight networks, including X, are included on every Postika plan. A post to X is limited to 280 characters and 4 images.

Can I connect Claude to both Metricool and Postika?

Yes. MCP clients like Claude can use several connectors at once, so you could ask about analytics through one and create posts through Postika in the same conversation. Keep publishing in one tool only to avoid duplicates.
