Why schedule TikTok outside the app
TikTok's own scheduler lives on the desktop web and only looks about ten days ahead. That is fine for one creator posting one video at a time, less so when you plan a month of content, work with several accounts or need someone to sign off before a video goes live.

TikTok formats: video and photo carousel
TikTok's Content Posting API accepts two kinds of posts, and Postika supports both:
- Video: one video per post (MP4, WebM or MOV per TikTok's docs). TikTok decides the maximum length per creator account; the upload ceiling is 10 minutes.
- Photo carousel: a swipeable set of images. Postika allows up to 35 images, the same as the API. See scheduling a TikTok photo carousel.
What tends to work on TikTok is the opposite of polished ads: a strong first second, a vertical frame, on-screen text you can read without sound, and a caption that adds context rather than repeating the video. Keep captions short even though the limit is long; most people read the first line and keep scrolling.

TikTok's API gives photo posts a longer description (up to 4,000 characters) than videos; Postika applies the 2,200-character limit to both for now, so a caption that passes in Postika always fits. Compare every network in the limits reference or test a caption in the character counter.
Drafting TikTok captions with your AI
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client to Postika and ask it to plan your TikTok week. The AI can see your calendar, suggest captions and create the posts in your project.
Because videos and images cannot travel over MCP, the AI leaves TikTok posts as drafts or pending approval. You then open each one, upload the clip and confirm. A useful prompt:
"Look at my TikTok posts for the next two weeks and fill the gaps: one caption idea per empty weekday at 19:00, max two lines each, as drafts."

TikTok in a multi-network plan

No. Media cannot be sent over MCP, so the AI writes the caption and leaves a draft or pending post. You add the video in the Postika app.
