TikTok rules Claude reads from Postika
TikTok posts must have a video or images, so Claude never schedules a TikTok post on its own: it creates it in approval or draft mode, and you add the media. The limits Postika enforces:
- Caption: up to 2,200 characters in Postika (TikTok allows longer photo descriptions; Postika's limit is 2,200).
- Photo carousel: up to 35 images.
- Video: one per post.
Short captions usually work best on TikTok, so ask Claude for a hook plus one line, and keep the long explanation inside the video. See TikTok scheduling and the photo carousel guide.
Repurposing long content into TikToks
Claude's strength here is reading a long source and finding the moments that work in under a minute. Give it a transcript and ask for clips with timestamps, hooks and on-screen text. You get a filming or editing list plus the captions already on your calendar, so the only step left is cutting the clips.
Photo carousels are the other easy win: Claude writes the text for each slide (a list, a step-by-step, a before/after), you design the slides in your usual tool, and attach them to the pending post. This is classic content repurposing. For the ChatGPT take on TikTok, read ChatGPT for TikTok.
What Postika does not do on TikTok
Postika publishes your video or carousel with its caption at the time you approve. It does not add TikTok sounds, edit video, read TikTok analytics or reply to comments. On claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

Frequently asked questions
Can Claude upload videos to TikTok?
No. Claude writes the caption and creates the TikTok post in Postika, but videos cannot be sent over MCP. You attach the video in Postika and approve it.
Can Claude write TikTok scripts?
Yes, Claude can write hooks, scripts and on-screen text in the chat. Postika stores the caption and time; the script is for you to film.
How many images can a TikTok photo carousel have in Postika?
Up to 35 images per TikTok post.
