Because text-only posts are allowed, ChatGPT can schedule Threads posts directly. Posts over 500 characters are rejected by Postika before scheduling, so ChatGPT shortens and retries. See Threads scheduling.
From Instagram caption to Threads post
Threads and Instagram share an audience, but the posts read differently: Instagram captions support a photo, Threads posts stand on their own as text. ChatGPT can read your scheduled Instagram posts with list_posts and write a Threads companion for each: shorter, more personal, sometimes a question. Because the photo is optional on Threads, these posts can go out without you adding media.

A weekly routine that takes five minutes
- On Sunday, ask ChatGPT to list everything scheduled on Instagram and LinkedIn for the week.
- Ask for one Threads companion per day, written for Threads, not pasted.
- Let ChatGPT schedule the posts that need no review; leave the rest pending approval.
- Approve the pending ones in Postika on Monday morning.
