X rules Claude has to fit into
X is the strictest network on length. Postika's rules for an X channel:
- 280 characters per post, including links and spaces.
- Up to 4 images, added in the app.
- Text-only allowed, so posts can be scheduled with no media.
- No threads: Postika publishes one post at a time.
Because X accepts text alone, Claude can use schedule mode and you never open Postika. If a draft comes in at 291 characters, Postika rejects it with an error and Claude shortens it. Check any text yourself in the character counter. Format notes are on X scheduling.
One long idea, many single posts
Since Postika does not post threads, the better pattern is a series of standalone posts spread over days. Ask Claude to split an essay or talk into separate ideas, each one complete on its own, and schedule them across two weeks. People who never saw post one still understand post four.
Claude is also good at the opposite job: taking a post that is too long and cutting it to 280 without losing the key number or claim. A two-week X calendar from one essay
Here is how a typical session goes. You paste an essay or a talk transcript. Claude proposes ten standalone posts, each under 280 characters, each with one claim or one number. You strike out three. Claude calls list_posts to see which weekdays already have an X post, then schedules the remaining seven on free mornings. If you want a quote card or a chart on one of them, Claude leaves that one pending approval and you add up to 4 images in Postika. The other six go out on their own.
