Postika for Make

Schedule social media posts from Make scenarios

Make connects your apps; Postika publishes to 8 social networks. One HTTP module joins them, so a new row, product or article becomes a post on your calendar.

Step by step

  1. 1

In Postika, create a project API key under Connect AI → Project keys and note your channel IDs from GET /api/v1/channels.

  2. 2

In your Make scenario, add the HTTP → Make a request module.

  3. 3

    URL https://postika.app/api/v1/posts, method POST.

  4. 4

    Headers: Authorization = Bearer ptk_….

  5. 5

Body type Raw, content type JSON (application/json), with content, channel_ids, when (for example {{formatDate(addDays(now; 1); "YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm")}}) and mode.

  6. 6

Turn on Parse response to use data.id and data.status in later modules.

Example prompts

  • (OpenAI module before Postika) Rewrite this product title and description as an Instagram caption under 2,200 characters with a clear call to action. Return only the caption.
  • (AI module) Write an X post under 280 characters announcing this blog article. No hashtags, include the link at the end.
  • (AI module) Turn this Google Sheets row (event name, date, venue) into a Facebook post of 3 short paragraphs.
  • (AI module) Write a LinkedIn post for this job opening: role, location, two lines on the team, and how to apply.
  • (AI module) Summarize this podcast episode description for Threads in under 500 characters.

Scenarios that make sense with Postika

Make is best when the post is triggered by something happening in another app. Some scenarios that need only a trigger and the Postika request:

  • Google Sheets content calendar: watch new rows (date, channel, text) and create one post per row. Write the returned data.id back to the sheet.
  • Shopify or WooCommerce: a new product creates an Instagram draft (you add the photo) and a scheduled Facebook post.
  • WordPress or Webflow: a published article creates LinkedIn and X posts pending approval.
  • Airtable editorial base: a status change to "Ready" creates the post on the planned date.

If you plan in a spreadsheet today, our content calendar guide shows how to structure the columns.

Adding an AI module in the middle

Make has its own AI modules (OpenAI, Anthropic and others) that you can place between the trigger and the Postika request. Use them to adapt the text per network: Postika does not write text for you, it checks and publishes it. A tip: route the AI output through a router with one branch per network, each with its own instruction and channel ID, so the X branch asks for 280 characters and the LinkedIn branch asks for something longer.

Keep mode set to approval until you trust the prompts. Pending posts land in your Postika calendar with a preview per network, and you approve them in one click. Read about the approval workflow.

Handling errors and media

If a post breaks a rule, Postika answers with a 4xx status and { "error": "…" }, for example an X text over 280 characters. Add an error handler route to the HTTP module so failed runs notify you instead of stopping silently. The reasons appear in the scenario history.

The API carries text only. Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest need media and YouTube needs a video, so for those channels create the post as draft or approval and attach the file in the app. LinkedIn, X, Threads and Facebook accept text-only posts and can be fully automatic. See the automations docs for the full recipe.

Cost and scale

Postika does not charge per post or per API call: all plans include unlimited posts and API keys. You pay by connected channels (Standard €29/month for 5, Team €39 for 10, Pro €49 for 30, Ultimate €99 for 100), so an agency running one scenario per client only pays for the accounts it connects (pricing). Each client goes in its own Postika project with its own key, which keeps scenarios isolated. Using n8n or Zapier? Compare with n8n and Zapier, or see Postika for agencies.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Postika app in Make?

You connect with Make's built-in HTTP → Make a request module. It takes a few minutes: URL, method, one header and a JSON body.

How do I format the date for Postika in Make?

Use formatDate with the pattern YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm, for example formatDate(addDays(now; 1); "YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm"). The time is read in the Postika project's time zone.

Can Make post to several networks at once?

Yes. channel_ids accepts several channel IDs in one request. If each network needs different text, use one request per network so each text fits its own limit.

Can I test without publishing anything?

Yes. Use mode approval or draft while testing. Nothing is published until you approve it in Postika, and you can delete test posts from the calendar.
