Your restaurant's week on social media, planned in 15 minutes
Tell your AI the week's specials, events and hours. Postika puts the posts on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok at the right times, and you add the food photos when you take them.
Step by step
- 1
Connect your restaurant's Instagram, Facebook and, if you use them, TikTok and Threads.
- 2
On Monday morning, tell ChatGPT or Claude this week's specials, events and any change in hours.
- 3
The AI creates the week's posts at your usual times, pending approval.
- 4
Take the dish photos during prep, attach them to the posts in Postika and approve.
A real week for a neighborhood restaurant
| Day | Instagram (11:30) | TikTok (18:00) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mon | Closed | "Closed today, see you Tuesday" (09:00) | |
| Tue | Lunch special: risotto | Week's menu as text (10:00) | Kitchen prep clip |
| Wed | New dessert | ||
| Thu | Wine of the week | "Live jazz Friday from 20:00" (12:00) | Plating clip |
| Fri | Jazz night photo | Reminder (17:00) | |
| Sat | Brunch menu | Brunch hours (09:00) | Brunch rush clip |
| Sun | Team photo | "Thank you for the week" |
Facebook posts here are text-only, so your AI can schedule them without you opening Postika. Instagram and TikTok posts wait as pending until you add the photo or clip. Prompt to create the whole week: "We're closed Monday, the Tuesday special is mushroom risotto at €14, Wednesday a new tiramisu, Thursday wine of the week is a Rioja at €6 a glass, live jazz Friday at 20:00, brunch Saturday 10:00 to 14:00. Create the posts in the table above, pending approval."
Last-minute changes
Restaurants change plans: the fish delivery didn't arrive, a private event closes the dining room, it snows. Because Facebook, Threads and X accept text-only posts, you can ask your AI to publish an update right away: "Post on Facebook now: we're closing at 21:00 tonight because of the storm, the kitchen is open until 20:30." Postika publishes it immediately with the now mode.
You can also ask "what's scheduled for tomorrow?" and have the AI delete or replace a post about a dish that's no longer available. It asks before deleting. See ChatGPT for Facebook.
Several locations
Each location gets its own Postika project with its own Instagram and Facebook accounts and its own time zone. The AI works location by location: "for the Downtown project, Tuesday's special is…". Two locations on 4 networks each is 8 channels, which fits in Team at €39/month. One location on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Threads fits in Standard at €29/month (pricing).
What to handle elsewhere
Postika does not publish to Google Business Profile, does not answer reviews or messages, and does not manage bookings. It also does not post Instagram Stories. Keep those in their own tools, and use Postika for the feed posts, Reels and Facebook updates that keep people coming back. Holidays and special menus
Seasonal dates are where restaurants gain the most from planning ahead. In early November, give your AI the dates of your Christmas menu, New Year's Eve dinner and holiday closures, with prices and booking details. It creates the whole sequence on the calendar: the menu announcement four weeks before, a "few tables left" reminder two weeks before, the closure notice the day before and a thank-you post afterwards. Facebook posts go out as text; Instagram posts wait for a photo of the dishes. Approval mode lets you check every price and date before anything is published.
Frequently asked questions
How often should a restaurant post on social media?
Many restaurants post on Instagram 4 to 6 times a week and on Facebook 3 to 5 times, around specials and events. Pick a rhythm you can keep; with an AI writing the posts, the hard part is the photos, not the text.
Can I post daily specials automatically?
Your AI can create the week's specials in one go. Facebook posts can be scheduled directly as text; Instagram posts wait for you to add the dish photo, which takes a few seconds per post.
Does Postika post to Google Business Profile?
No. Postika publishes to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads and Pinterest.
Can each of my restaurants have its own calendar?
Yes. Create one project per location, each with its own channels and time zone. Every plan includes unlimited projects.
